Any data gathered through the UKeiG web site is usually used for internal purposes only. UKeI does, from time to time, conduct mailings on behalf of other library and information organisations. These are incorporated into the regular hard copy flyers mailings. These mailings are handled by UKeiG 's distribution agents and no data is disclosed to other organisations. UKeiG does not sell, rent, or otherwise give your e-mail address to a third party without your explicit consent.

They are also monitored to ensure that there is no unauthorised access to restricted areas of the site.
