Implementing and maintaining an institutional repository raises complex questions about organisational resources, strategies, roles and responsibilities. This Class will help you identify the critical issues involved in setting up an institutional digital repository, including coverage of software, data migration and standards.
Using Blogs Effectively within Your Organisation

This Class will offer real user experiences of blogs and blogging in library settings. Starting with a few blog fundamentals; background, blog-specific search tools, and blog aggregators, the Class moves on to the selection of software and hosting; policy and procedural considerations, such as blog scope, writing style and frequency of publication and, finally, discusses how to measure the success of your blogging, focusing on user feedback, return on investment and impact assessment.

Communicating, influencing and negotiating are fundamental life skills. Not only do these skills feature prominently in day-to-day business, they also permeate everyday life; without them, it is impossible to succeed.
