Data Protection - Information Sharing Code of Practice
Picked up this article via Paul Pedley's blog Keeping within the Law (KWTL):
"On 13th August 2007, the Information Commissioner’s Office launched a consultation on its new framework code of practice for sharing personal information. At a time when increasing amounts of personal information are being shared, the framework code aims to help organisations to adopt good practice when sharing information and comply with the Data Protection Act. The deadline for submissions to the consultation is 1st October 2007"The ICO claims that the "framework code will help organisations involved in information sharing to develop their own codes of practice and other materials for making sure their activities constitute good practice in the handling of personal information."
The current draft is 18 pages long and covers:
