The intranets forum is for UKeiG members interested in intranets. We hold free, informal meetings to provide opportunities for members to view other organisations' intranets and to discuss topics of mutual interest. Topics covered have included:
- small scale intranets
- discussion Forums
- SharePoint in action

- working with sub-editors
- planning your intranet strategy
- meeting accessibility standards
- marketing your intranet
First meeting of 2012
To be held on January 17th 2012, at Universities UK's central and comfortable offices at 20-24 Tavistock Square, WC1H 9HQ. Our speakers will be Sharon O'Dea from UK Parliament and Adam Pope from Arup presenting the products that won their organisations Gold Medals in October's prestigious Intranet Innovation Awards: respectively a MOBILE intranet, and "Amazing Race" a virtual race for charity hosted on an intranet site. It should be a fun afternoon, to chase the gloom of midwinter away! Timing as usual: Networking over hot drinks from 14:00, presentations and discussions 14:30-17:00. Further details to follow.

A live drop in meeting is organised from 16:00 to 16:30 most Thursday afternoons in the electronic Discussion Room on the home page of our mailing list. It is advertised a few days previously on the mailing list and members are encouraged to drop in and share news, comments, problems, solutions etc.
The list and the Forum are membership benefits and attendees must be UKeiG members.
The Intranets Forum is organised by Dion Lindsay. Meetings are held approximately every 2 months. Please don't hesitate to contact Dion if you can offer to provide a venue, have an idea for a theme for a future meeting, or are willing to present screen shots of your intranet.
