CILIP’s Digital Information Conference 2010
Managing digital content, using Web 2.0 tools, understanding the implications of social media, coping with a new copyright environment, and tackling the challenge of ebooks is putting librarians and publishers under severe pressure.
Working closely with the UKeiG Special Interest Group, CILIP has assembled an impressive panel of thought leaders from across the information community and a programme specifically aimed at professionals in the public and academic sectors, commercial researchers, and scholarly and trade publishers.
The programme is carefully structured to allow extensive interaction and debate, and the conference is ideally timed to take a considered view of the post-Election social, political and economic environment and the potential impact of the Coalition Government’s policies. It provides a sounding board for those seeking to balance the need for innovation and continued service delivery with a changed environment defined by severe budget cuts and reduced resources.
