Mobile access to information resources : Martin White
Over the last two years there has been dramatic growth in the way in which smart phones and tablet PCs are used to access a wide range of information resources. Publishers of legal, business and scientific information are now adapting their services to take advantage of software ‘apps’ which provide one touch access to information. Many organisations are also evaluating how to provide access to intranets and other enterprise applications This course will provide a non-technical introduction to the technology, illustrate the range of services available from publishers, consider the implications for intranet managers and outline the elements of a mobile information access strategy.

Martin White is the Managing Director, Intranet Focus Ltd. He has been tracking developments in mobile technology for 15 years, and is currently working as an adviser to a global telecommunications company. Over the last year he has been monitoring developments and the way in which publishers and organisations are beginning to take advantage of smart phone technology.

Cancellations received less than 7 working days before the start of the course will be subject to the full fee.
